SELAK: BEĆIROVIĆ SHOULD DEAL WITH FBiH; SRPSKA IS STABILITY FACTOR

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 23 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Justice Minister Selak told Bosniak BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović to deal with the situation in the FBiH, rather than making accusations against Republika Srpska and Serbia in his addresses to international institutions.

Commenting on Bećirović's address to the United Nations, Selak said that Republika Srpska does not undermine peace and security, but rather represents a factor of stability.

"We in Republika Srpska are a factor of stability and peace. We respect the Dayton Peace Agreement and, consequently, the Constitution of BiH, but we also call for respect for the Republika Srpska Constitution. Bećirović should focus on the FBiH," Selak emphasized.

He says Srpska respects ethnic structure and representation of all three constituent peoples.

"This is evident in the positions of vice president of the Republic, deputy speaker of the National Assembly, chair of the Council of Peoples, the chief republic prosecutor, and the president of the Supreme Court. Have our colleagues in the FBiH done the same? They have not," Selak pointed out.

He also stressed that Republika Srpska has the right to develop relations with Serbia in accordance with the Agreement on Special Parallel Relations.
