SCHMIDT ONCE AGAIN INTERFERES IN BiH'S INSTITUTIONAL FUNCTIONING

BANJA LUKA, JULY 17 /SRNA/ – The Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, stated today in Banja Luka that Christian Schmidt has once again interfered in the institutional functioning of BiH by imposing decisions - thereby undermining democracy, the BiH Constitution, and the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Cvijanović said that there were two attempts to verify the account to which the funds were supposed to be paid based on the arbitration ruling in the "Vijadukt" case - and that neither attempt confirmed the validity of that account.

At a press conference, she said she cannot comprehend how Schmidt, even if he had the authority to impose decisions, could insist on funds being transferred to an account whose validity has not been confirmed.

Earlier this morning, Schmidt imposed a decision in the case of the Slovenian company Vijadukt, authorizing the withdrawal of funds from excise revenues on the unified account, from the portion allocated to Srpska, as well as a decision requiring the Central Bank of BiH to provide funding for new technologies in the electoral process.
