BIJELJINA, MAY 20 /SRNA/ - Bojan Savić, the president of the SNSD City Board in Bijeljina, says that some EU countries, which actively accuse Serbs of all problems in BiH, while calling Bosniaks/Muslims “pro-European forces” and remaining silent about their blocking of European laws, don’t implement in their own countries what they recommend to BiH, and many of their officials highlight difficulties integrating Muslims into European values.
Savić told SRNA that many member states, despite loudly condemning so-called “Serb separatists,” realistically do not want Muslims fully integrated into European ranks and are merely playing the role of false friends, while simultaneously blocking anything that could accelerate BiH’s EU accession.
"These countries are not friends to Bosniaks or Croats, just as they are not friends to Serbs. All these years, we haven’t heard a single condemnation of the unitarist policies pursued by Bosniak representatives, nor has it ever been labeled a violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Throughout this time, certain European countries have shown the same hypocrisy toward Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks, fully aware that the voice and influence of Muslims in European institutions is practically nonexistent, and that deep differences exist on nearly all issues between the policies of EU member states and the positions held by Muslims, including the policies currently pursued by Bosniaks in BiH," Savić emphasized.
He pointed out that the biggest real problem for Europe today is its double standards and inconsistent decisions on the same issues, depending on its interests, especially when it comes to Muslims.
But, Savić added, it seems that these are the so-called “European values,” where it only matters to create the illusion that someone has a say and that there is some form of fairness.
“Republika Srpska does not accept such treatment and wants to be an equal partner, together with Croats and Bosniaks. Serbs in BiH do not want to take away the rights of either Croats or Bosniaks. Serbs want a functional BiH. But BiH cannot become functional because of the mistake called Christian Schmidt, a mistake Europe accepted, despite knowing full well that he continues to deepen the political crisis he caused, with the full support of his ally Michael Murphy and Sarajevo's 'little troika',” emphasized Savić.
He explained that the functionality, and therefore the survival of BiH, depends on one simple thing: Europe’s support for the Dayton BiH.
"Europe’s responsibility in BiH, as well as the responsibility of friendly countries, is to help BiH move forward, and that requires only one thing: to explain to the Muslims that they must integrate into the Dayton-based constitutional system of BiH. BiH is unstable to the extent to which Bosniaks act against Serbs and Croats, and that threshold was crossed long ago, to the point where trust between the peoples no longer exists. This is precisely due to foreign interference, imposed in favor of the Bosniaks and against the Serbs," Savić emphasized.
First, he said, this happened with the election of the Bosniak ‘Golden Lily’ Željko Komšić as the Croat member of the Presidency through outvoting, abuse, and against the will of the Croatian people, and now they are trying to do the same to the Serbs.
"The EU must demonstrate consistency toward BiH and all of its peoples. The Muslim people can no longer be favored at the expense of Serbs and Croats. The three constituent peoples, equal in rights, can only build the European path together, the same one we keep hearing about, while at the same time we are not allowed to take a single step forward, as a foreigner is allowed to stand between the peoples of BiH and their path to Europe," Savić said.
According to him, the colonial framework established by the imposition of an unelected foreigner, who prosecutes, judges, and passes verdicts, makes BiH unsuitable for anything, especially for dialogue or any European or developmental agenda.
