SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 23 /SRNA/ - The Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH did not approve the request to reopen the procedure ex officio in the case concerning a motion to annul the certification of the political party SNSD–Milorad Dodik for the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska.

Six members of the CEC voted against, while one voted in favor.

Vanja Bjelica-Prutina stated that she considers it illegal to discuss the proposal to reopen the procedure, as it concerns an extraordinary legal remedy.

"All facts that could change the decision can be used before the competent court, in this case the Constitutional Court of BiH," Bjelica-Prutina said, adding that the appeal previously submitted regarding the certification decision had already been rejected and that the Court's letter contained nothing new.

The proponent of this item is CEC member Suad Arnautović, who stated that the request is based on new information from the letter received from the Court of BiH on October 16, which the CEC received on October 20.
