SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 20 /SRNA/ - The Head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Sanja Vulić, has sent a request to the Ministry of Interior /MoI/ of Republika Srpska and the State Investigation and Protection Agency /SIPA/ of BiH to take all necessary measures to prevent possible election manipulation.
Vulić stated in her letter that, according to various sources, there are suspicions that abuses could occur during the electoral process in Bijeljina, Istočna Ilidža, Modriča, Lopare, and Teslić.
She pointed out that there is suspicion that voter bribery, pressure, and blackmail related to employment to influence the election, physical threats or attacks against political opponents, as well as the inflow of large sums of money into the country that could be used for illegal activities related to the elections, could occur.
"I am not in a position to verify this information, so I am forwarding it to you so that, in accordance with your legal authority, you can assess the basis of these suspicions and take all necessary measures," Vulić stated in the letter sent to the MoI and SIPA.
She emphasized that it is necessary to monitor and verify this information, prevent any potential abuse, and protect the integrity of the electoral process and the safety of citizens.
"I believe that a timely response by the competent authorities is crucial to ensure the legality, transparency, and full regularity of the upcoming electoral activities," Vulić stated.
The early elections for the President of Republika Srpska are scheduled for Sunday, November 23.
