PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE TO LAUNCH INVESTIGATION INTO KONAKOVIĆ

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 7 /SRNA/ - Law professor Ljubinko Mitrović told SRNA that he expects the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to promptly launch an investigation into Elmedin Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, after he announced today that he was withdrawing all employees from the BiH Embassy in Belgrade.

Mitrović stressed that, in this case, several criminal offenses prescribed by the Criminal Code of BiH are involved, particularly given, as he explained, that foreign policy is determined and conducted by the Presidency of BiH, not by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He assessed that Konaković's actions constitute a blatant attack on the constitutional order of BiH, particularly following the European Union's official position that Mladić was not buried with state honors.
