PAVIĆ: BEĆIROVIĆ'S SPEECH PITIFUL AND WRETCHED, IT WILL NOT IMPROVE BiH'S POSITION

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 23 /SRNA/ – Political scientist Aleksandar Pavić says BiH Presidency Chairman Denis Bećirović's speech at the UN General Assembly, making accusations against Serbs and Republika Srpska, was pitiful and wretched and would have no global impact, nor would it improve BiH’s position by a millimeter; rather, it would make it worse.

"These narratives are becoming less and less effective; they work with their regular sponsors. But Bećirović had no right to say those things. He was speaking on his own behalf, and on behalf of those in Sarajevo," Pavić told SRNA.

He added that, with such a speech, Bećirović had once again, for who knows how many times, violated the Dayton Peace Agreement.

"They /Bosniak representatives/ do this every year at the UN. Look where it has gotten them. Their position is getting worse, they are losing more and more ground, but they do not know how to act differently. That is their problem," Pavić said.

Pavić said that offcial Sarajevo has no Plan B and that its only approach is hatred toward Republika Srpska and Serbs.

"They have a hegemonic drive to rule the entire BiH, with everyone else reduced to obedient minions, to bring back the Ottoman era. That is not going to happen," Pavić said.

He added that this represents a continuation of wartime policies that were supposed to have ended with the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement in late 1995, but never did.

Pavić said that what Bećirović is doing is shameful and that official Sarajevo believes it can deceive everyone.

He recalled the words of former US President Abraham Lincoln that "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time".

"Those lies and that false representation are gradually coming back to haunt them, and they will continue to do so. It is clear to many around the world that this is propaganda and that it is not representative when someone from Sarajevo speaks at the UN on behalf of BiH," Pavić said.
