NO EU MEMBERSHIP WHILE BiH REMAINS A PROTECTORATE

SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 11 /SRNA/ – Milorad Kojić, an SNSD representative in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, rejected accusations that this party is blocking BiH’s European path and warned that no country has ever joined the EU while having a protectorate such as the one that exists in BiH.

“When it comes to the European path, most of the laws that came from the Council of Ministers originated in the departments led by SNSD ministers together with coalition partners,” Kojić told reporters in Sarajevo.

According to him, the so-called fictitious Europeans from the “Troika,” who present themselves as the only fighters for the European path, need to understand that EU accession is impossible as long as the OHR exists in BiH and as long as Christian Schmidt remains illegal and illegitimate.

“Even if the High Representative were legal and legitimate, there is not a single EU member state that became a member, or is today a member, while under a protectorate, as is the case here,” Kojić emphasized.

He stressed that the “Troika” has put itself in a position where Schmidt overrides both them and other MPs advocating for the EU, by making decisions in everyone’s name that carry the force of law, and even undermining the Official Gazette, since it is enough for something to be published on the OHR’s website for it to become an integral part of BiH’s legal system.

“Such a European path cannot exist. It is an illusion to think that we can have a European path and become an EU member with a system and practice where others adopt laws, override the Parliamentary Assembly and entity parliaments, and even amend the Constitution of the Federation of BiH,” Kojić said.

He assessed that this kind of struggle for the EU is fiction and a performance for the public, aimed at certain political actors securing political points for themselves.
