NEW SERIES ON THE DANGERS OF ISLAMIC EXTREMISM STARTING TOMORROW

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 4 /SRNA/ – The News Agency of Republika Srpska – SRNA will begin publishing a series of articles tomorrow about the dangers that Islamic extremism poses to BiH, as well as to the region and the world.

SRNA’s sources include experts in the field who are warning that the goals of Islamic extremists are global as far as the entire Balkans, later Europe and the world, become a unified "Islamic state – caliphate."

The articles explore how deeply the roots of Islamic extremism were planted during the last war in BiH, when mujahideen were fighting as part of the so-called Army of BiH and committed some of the most brutal crimes against Serbs.

Many of them were rewarded for their participation in jihad with BiH citizenship, often receiving new identities. Some still live in the country today, in unofficial religious communities /parajamaats/, which few dare to enter.

The bloody trail of jihad warriors leads from BiH to Syria, Western Europe, and even the United States, culminating in the September 11 terrorist attacks.
