MINIĆ: POLITICAL DECISION OF INCOMPLETE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT HAS NO IMPACT ON GOVERNMENT

BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 23 /SRNA/ – Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić stated that the latest political decision of the incomplete Constitutional Court of BiH cannot affect the decisions of the previous Government and that citizens of Republika Srpska should not be concerned.

“This is a legal nonsense, an overstepping of authority and boundaries, especially by such a court, but it has nothing to do with nor can it affect the decisions of the Government,” Minić said.

Minić reiterated that the incomplete Constitutional Court of BiH has no authority whatsoever to deliberate on the constitutionality of the Government of Republika Srpska, which, he said, is clear to everyone.

“The Constitutional Court deliberated even though it had no jurisdiction, stepping outside constitutional limits. This is a political decision. It has never deliberated on such matters before,” Minić said.

He pointed out that citizens of Republika Srpska have no reason to worry, just as those who wish ill upon it have no reason to rejoice.

“This is a political struggle. We are moving one step forward each time. We have a Government, we have institutions, everything is functioning, and there is no reason for concern,” Minić emphasized.
