BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 19 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić has appealed to the FBiH authorities to ensure a normal life for Serb returnees, as well as the security of Serb-owned property and heritage in the entity, stressing that the Serb cemeteries increasingly becoming targets of vandalism in the FBiH is unacceptable.

"The desecration of gravestones in Vučinići, near Kladanj, is yet another act of vandalism against the Serb people," Minić posted on X.

He emphasised that families who have lost their homes deserve to have at least the graves of their loved ones left in peace.

Damaged and toppled gravestones were discovered last week at the Serb cemetery in the village of Vučinići, near Kladanj.

According to the 1991 census, at least 4,100 Serbs, or 26 per cent of the population, lived in the Kladanj municipality. By the 2013 census, their number had fallen to just 107, or 0.9 per cent.
