SARAJEVO, APRIL 17 /SRNA/ – The Procurement Review Body of BiH's decision rejecting the Planet Soft company's appeal against the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH’s decision to award the contract for procuring electoral technologies to the Smartmatic Company introduces legal uncertainty into the entire public procurement system, Aleksandar Milinković, a member of the Planet Soft Company management board, told SRNA.
He emphasized that such a decision proves that the interests of certain local and international structures are above rights and the law.
"We would like to clearly state that during the procedure we did not agree to any pressures, offers, or attempts of influence that would lead us to abandon the principles of legality and the public interest," Milinković said.
He added the Planet Soft faced a series of problematic activities, including avoidance of responsibility and conduct that requires further clarification before the public and competent institutions.
He announced that, in the interest of the public and citizens' right to know all the facts, the Planet Soft will organise a press conference to present all details.
The CEC selected the Smartmatic Company's offer for the procurement of equipment for biometric voter identification and ballot scanning, even though it was BAM 17 million more expensive than the offer submitted by the Planet Soft.
