BANJA LUKA, MARCH 29 /SRNA/ – The Head of the SNSD Club in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Srđan Mazalica said that, in light of the latest declaration by Bosniak religious and political representatives condemning Islamophobia and "false narratives", which denies antisemitism among Bosniaks, Emir Suljagić has emerged seeking to present himself as a friend of the Jewish people.

Mazalica told SRNA that, unfortunately, the main motive of political activity among Muslims in BiH is not based on values, but on the oppression of those who are weaker and those who stand in the way of achieving dominance reminiscent of the era of agas and beys.

"Therefore, Emir Suljagić suddenly becomes a friend of the Jews, claiming to be 'a friend of the Jewish people who has dedicated his public and private life to building bridges between Bosniaks and Jews - often at great personal cost', but he does not explain why he paid that price, likely due to growing antisemitism among the Muslim population in BiH, ranging from open support for Palestine and Iran to the banning of a rabbi conference in Sarajevo and the throwing of Israeli passports into a trash bin," Mazalica pointed out.

He added that Suljagić is attempting to turn Jews against Milorad Dodik, who, as he claims, denies the genocide in Srebrenica, while Jews themselves were also victims of genocide - the Holocaust and should therefore understand such matters.

"To enlighten Suljagić, Jews generally do not support the thesis of the alleged genocide in Srebrenica, as it devalues and relativizes the very concept of genocide and what happened to Jews during World War II. I will remind Emir Suljagić that Israel did not support the German resolution on 'genocide in Srebrenica' adopted on May 23, 2024," Mazalica pointed out.

He noted that since the United States openly supported Israel, entered into confrontation with Iran, and also speaks openly about protecting Christians in BiH, Suljagić and other Bosniak politicians are fighting on several fronts: ignoring alleged majorization over Serbs and Croats, presenting themselves as having good relations with Jews, and distancing themselves from any past ties with Iran.

"All of this together represents a major salto mortale unprecedented in this region," Mazalica concluded.
