KOVAČEVIĆ: TRUMP ADMINISTRATION’S POLICY FOR BiH - CONSENSUS AND COMPROMISE AMONG THE THREE CONSTITUENT PEOPLES

BANJA LUKA, MAY 24 /SRNA/ - We have finally heard openly what the Trump administration’s policy for BiH is – consensus and compromise among the three constituent peoples in BiH, said Radovan Kovačević, Serb deputy in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.

Kovačević has stated that the era of threats, arm-twisting, sanctions, and interventions in favour of one side and against the other two is over for good.

“This is exactly what Republika Srpska has been waiting for. And, not less importantly, exactly what it has been asking for. This is undoubtedly a major political success for Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović, a success for Republika Srpska, which they were ready to pay any personal price for,” Kovačević commented on X /formerly Twitter/.

According to him, this is also a great, if not the last, opportunity for BiH - a dialogue based on the Constitution and mutual respect among the three constituent peoples and two entities.

“Republika Srpska is open to that opportunity,” Kovačević concluded.
