BANJA LUKA, JULY 17 /SRNA/ - Political terrorism is when an uninvited foreigner comes to a country and, in violation of the Constitution, international agreements and the law, imposes decisions and, based on those decisions, removes from political office, prosecutes and sentences to prison people who were democratically elected by the people and citizens and who were carrying out the duties entrusted to them by the Constitution," said Radovan Kovačević, a Serb member of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Radovan Kovačević.
"That is terrorism. Terrorism is also an attack on the constitutional order, not the nonsense being spouted by someone who is completely out of his depth and who, fortunately, was making those absurd claims and ramblings only after everyone who mattered had already left the meeting, including /US Secretary of State Marco/ Rubio, his deputy and all the other people who are in any way important and relevant," Kovačević said, reacting to remarks by Elmedin Konaković, who at a ministerial meeting in Washington dedicated to the worrying resurgence of political terrorism called for "a stronger response to politically motivated terrorism", while also mentioning Milorad Dodik.
He recalled having previously said that those whose comrades from the so-called Army of BiH had participated in both the planning and execution of the most horrific terrorist attack ever carried out against the United States on September 11, 2001, now dared to accuse anyone else of terrorism, stressing that this was shameless hypocrisy.
Kovačević emphasized that, fortunately, people in the United States know very well who is who and what each side represents in BiH, and that Milorad Dodik had played a key role in ensuring that.
"That narrative that Milorad Dodik is a problem for them because he is, as Konaković claims, a Russian proxy is not the real issue. In reality, Milorad Dodik is a problem for them precisely because he defies domination over the Serbs, Republika Srpska and Christians. That is the only reason why Milorad Dodik is a problem for them," Kovačević told RTRS.
He added that they avoid talking about real terrorism, whereas real terrorism was something that very much existed in BiH.
"There have been dozens of terrorist attacks. There was an incident in which a man, a Wahhabi, was firing an automatic rifle for hours outside the US Embassy and they could not subdue him. There was an incident in which someone entered a police station in Zvornik and killed a Republika Srpska police officer while shouting 'Allahu Akbar'. There was also an incident in which a 13-year-old boy, or thereabouts, ran into a police station shouting 'Allahu Akbar' and fatally stabbed a Serb police officer," Kovačević said.
He stressed that these people do not want to talk about that, but instead want to label as a political terrorist someone who was democratically elected, who democratically represents one of the constituent peoples and the citizens of Republika Srpska, and who protects his constitutionally guaranteed rights.
"They do not want to talk about the fact that there has not been a single major terrorist attack anywhere in the world over the past 20 or 30 years in which someone who had been a member of the so-called Army of the Republic of BiH, or someone who had previously been in BiH and had participated in war crimes against the Serb people, was not involved. Those are the facts," Kovačević said.
He said that they want to distort the facts and label as political terrorists those who have been fighting against terrorism all along.
