BANJA LUKA, JUNE 2 /SRNA/ – Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the bIh Parliamentary Assembly, Radovan Kovačević, stated that there is no government crisis in BiH, but rather a deep political, constitutional, and jurisdictional crisis – and the main culprit is the unelected foreigner Christian Schmidt, who has directly attacked the constitutionally guaranteed rights of Republika Srpska and the Serb people.
Kovačević emphasized that there is no security crisis, as claimed by representatives of Bosniak politics and the opposition in Republika Srpska, but a deep political and constitutional crisis of jurisdiction.
"If you ask us, we’ll openly tell you that the key figure who caused the crisis is a foreign individual – Christian Schmidt – who is falsely trying to present himself as the High Representative, despite lacking the legitimacy foreseen by the Dayton Agreement," said Kovačević.
He stressed that Schmidt, in violation of the BiH Constitution – which clearly states that the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is the only institution authorized to adopt and amend laws – unilaterally and brazenly amended the BiH Criminal Code, on the basis of which the President of Srpska was prosecuted.
Kovačević reminded that the President of Srpska was prosecuted for respecting the Constitution, rather than the will of a German national and foreigner.
"At a time when we were making progress toward the European path, when it seemed we could reach agreements on certain issues, Christian Schmidt intervened several times in amending the Election Law and the Criminal Code of BiH, and even suspended the Constitution of the Federation of BiH and other matters," Kovačević told RTRS.
He recalled that Nenad Vuković /PDP/, Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, told members of the European Parliament in Brussels that the President of Srpska Milorad Dodik had "unleashed hell in BiH."
Kovačević pointed out that representatives of Sarajevo politics and the opposition from Srpska continue to claim that Dodik and the government of Srpska are to blame for everything.
