BANJA LUKA, MARCH 23 /SRNA/ – Serb deputy in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Radovan Kovačević, states that the concept of Republika Srpska authority is to always protect its position, noting that the OHR has over the past 30 years been the main instrument for attacking Republika Srpska and its weakening.
“This was done together with the Bosniak people representatives,” Kovačević pointed out.
He emphasized that the essential difference between the position and the opposition in Republika Srpska lies in what they see as the key problem in BiH.
“We claim that the key problem in BiH is Christian Schmidt, internationals who have intervened in the constitutional - legal system, and official Sarajevo, while the opposition says Milorad Dodik and the Republika Srpska authority are the only problem,” Kovačević said during a TV debate on RTRS with the leader of the Justice and Order List, Nebojša Vukanović.
He stressed that the authorities in Republika Srpska do not pursue a centrist policy toward anyone, but are concerned only with the Serb people and Republika Srpska.
He recalled that a declaration signed by Bosniak leaders being headed by the Islamic Community head, Husein Kavazović, reads that this is a country of Bosniaks, that they are the most numerous people here and make the key decisions, while thw Serbs are tenants in their own country, which is unacceptable.
“The declaration says they live the legacy of the Dayton, then the Republika Srpska opposition representatives tell us that the problem in BiH is Dodik,” said Kovačević, who is also the spokesperson of SNSD.
He pointed that Vukanović had previously called on Schmidt to impose decisions and use the Bonn powers, even though Schmidt was sent here illegally and is working to undermine and destroy Republika Srpska.
Kovačević said that Vukanović had more than 90 defamation rulings against him, adding that when criticizing the authorities in Republika Srpska, he relies on portals such as “Raskrinkavanje”, which publishes false information, including the claim that it is untrue that Republika Srpska was established on January 9, 1992.
He emphasized that Srpska expects public investments exceeding four billion BAM across Republika Srpska this year, a significant portion of which will be in its eastern part.
In Foča, Kovačević says, works are being prepared for at least five road routes, and a section of the motorway toward Belgrade is also nearing completion, which is very important for Republika Srpska.
Regarding Vukanović’s claims that SNSD is falling apart, Kovačević said they have been hearing such claims for 20 years and that SNSD consistently achieves winning results from one election cycle to another.
“We are used to all attacks on Republika Srpska, in which you /the opposition/ always assist. We are ready to respond to them appropriately and to preserve Republika Srpska,” Kovačević said.
