SAINT PETERSBURG, JUNE 19 /SRNA/ – Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac sent a message to People and Justice Party leader Elmedin Konaković, stating that politics is not all about populism and lies, but also about constructive work on behalf of businesspeople from Republika Srpska, the Federation of BiH, and the Brčko District.
As proof, he cited the recent approval of meat and dairy exports from several domestic companies to Russia.
"Yes, they were interested, and we made it happen. We're also exporting fruit and vegetables," said Košarac, who is currently attending the International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg.
He listed companies approved for export to Russia, including Pađeni dairy from Bileća, Tulumović Meat Industry from Laktaši, Trivas Meat Industry from Prnjavor, Studen-Prom from Zvornik, as well as Argeta and the Livno Dairy — in response to Konaković's sarcastic question, "What meat? Where is the meat? Does he even know how much meat is produced in the country?"
Košarac, who also serves as Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, stressed the numerous benefits of good relations with the Russian Federation, developed thanks to the contacts between Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"You're heating your homes in Sarajevo with Russian gas, at the lowest price, and for that you can thank President Dodik and President Putin, the very ones you constantly vilify during your globe-trotting trips, which help absolutely no one. Not even you — because those efforts are dead ends," said Košarac.
Responding to Konaković's claims that Košarac is blocking the creation of an agriculture ministry and access to EU funds while only negotiating meat exports to Russia, Košarac said Konaković urgently needs to visit an imam, claiming he is being destroyed by ignorance and fear of 2026.
"Everything is coming apart for him. He should seek help, apologize to Bakir and Sebija Izetbegović, and finally do something to break out of that spiral of lies in his own head. As for us in SNSD — he was obedient while he was useful, but we don't need him anymore," Košarac posted on Instagram.
To set the record straight, Košarac added, that It can’t be he’s so upset over one bulldozer from Russia that he has to resort to blatant lies to save face.
"Dino, it's not all about populism and lies," Košarac said, responding to Konaković's claim that BiH and Republika Srpska will spend more on Košarac's trips to Russia than they’ll earn from meat exports.
He added that a lie repeated a thousand times never becomes the truth, attaching a photo of his plane ticket to Saint Petersburg, showing that he flew in economy class.
"As a small piece of evidence that you’ve been caught in another big lie, here's the ticket - economy class. Some things, clearly, even an imam can't help with. Greetings from Saint Petersburg," Košarac said.
