ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, MAY 25 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac said that Christian Schmidt is announcing "memoirs," likely under the working title "How I Brought BiH Into the Deepest Crisis Since Dayton."
"He will probably miss the tens of thousands of euros he earned through false representation in BiH, so this will serve as an additional source of income for him," Košarac said.
Košarac stated that after years of arbitrariness, impositions, what he described as brutal violations of the Dayton Agreement, political experimentation and the destruction of BiH, Schmidt has decided to try his hand at writing, continuing what he called a tradition of books that left behind a dark legacy.
He assessed it as absurd and completely unacceptable that a foreigner, occupier, former German politician believes he has the right to shape the political destiny of the peoples in BiH and leave behind an "ideological legacy" through memoirs.
"That resembles the darkest periods in the history of civilization, which began precisely when `one misunderstood painter` decided to write a `book` combining autobiography with political and ideological views. History teaches us how dangerous such political ambitions were for Europe and the entire world.
However, the epilogue of Schmidt's memoirs will not be written by him, but by investigations that will show how he will answer for everything he did in BiH. That will be the only authentic chapter of his legacy, and perhaps the only one that will truly be read," Košarac stressed in a statement on Instagram.
