KOŠARAC: KONAKOVIĆ WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR CHARLATAN-LIKE POLICY

SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 18 /SRNA/ – Council of Ministers Deputy Chair Staša Košarac told SRNA that nothing can absolve Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković of responsibility for passivity and an indifferent attitude regarding Trgovska Gora.

Košarac said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic-consular network of BiH will also bear responsibility.

"Konaković is behaving irresponsibly in a completely charlatan-like political manner. At the same time, he is looking for those to blame everywhere in BiH except in himself and Croatia, whose interests he is evidently serving," Košarac said.

Košarac stated that he had repeatedly warned and appealed for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic-consular network to become actively involved in opposing the construction of the controversial waste disposal site at Trgovska Gora, but that nothing was done except empty promises.

"On the contrary, for almost 100 days they kept the protest note I sent to Croatia in a drawer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH. Now Konaković is trying to justify himself by shifting responsibility for the blockage onto allegedly lower-ranking officials in the Ministry. If it weren’t sad, it would truly be funny," Košarac said.

Košarac concluded that Konaković is unable to control any process within the institution he heads and that, instead of taking responsibility, he seeks excuses and scapegoats for his own mistakes in others.
