KOŠARAC: KONAKOVIĆ DOES NOT UNDERSTAND CHANGE IN GLOBAL POLITICAL CIRCUMSTANCES

SARAJEVO, JULY 2 /SRNA/ - The letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, Elmedin Konaković, addressed to the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, is the political cry of a man who fails to understand that global political circumstances have changed, pointed out the Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac.

Košarac stated that Konaković's pamphlet is full of delusions, arbitrary constructs, and a desperate attempt to sell false narratives to Donald Trump's administration—narratives that collapsed along with Joseph Biden's administration.

"As long as it was profitable for him, Konaković blindly listened to /Michael/ Murphy and /Christian/ Schmidt, supporting their anti-democratic and anti-constitutional experiments in BiH. But, his mentors are gone and now he is a political orphan. In his own powerlessness and general disorientation, Konaković is now trying to switch sides and become an interlocutor for the Trump administration," Košarac wrote on Instagram.

Košarac emphasizes that Konaković hopes in vain that they have experienced collective amnesia in Washington and that they do not know that he was precisely the one on Biden's side against Trump.

"It is particularly symptomatic that he continues to chant about a non-existent Russian malign influence. The world has changed in the meantime, geopolitical circumstances are different, but Konaković obviously does not understand that. He remains a political prisoner of a narrative that has suffered defeat," stressed Košarac.

Košarac pointed out that Republika Srpska conducts a responsible and independent policy of cooperation with all partners who respect its constitutional position and the Dayton structure of BiH.

"Our cooperation with the Russian Federation is exceptionally good, and at the same time, we are successfully developing relations with President Trump's administration based on mutual appreciation and respect, without subservience and without tutelage," said Košarac.

Unlike Konaković and the "Troika," says Košarac, Republika Srpska is no one's project nor a hostage to any centers of power.

"We are not prisoners of the collapsed policies of Brussels, nor do we blindly execute other people's orders," Košarac stated.

Konaković sent a letter to Rubio, in which he once again accused the SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, as well as the leadership of Republika Srpska, of the alleged destabilization of BiH.
