SARAJEVO, JUNE 17 /SRNA/ - By claiming that the SNSD is responsible for BiH ending up on the MONEYVAL grey list, Elmedin Konaković and other members of the "Troika" are attempting to shift responsibility for the dysfunctionality of the Federation of BiH onto Republika Srpska and the level of the joint institutions, Staša Košarac, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, told SRNA.
"Amid a chronic lack of political achievements of their own, Konaković and the rest of the 'Troika' are trying to attract the attention of their increasingly shrinking voter base by attacking the SNSD," Košarac said.
He said that they wasted their term trying to harm Srpska, but failed to do so and will continue to fail, because the SNSD is a tough nut to crack for the "Troika."
"What surprised me once again, however, is their readiness to lie the moment they open their mouths, as our people would say. Now they are blaming the SNSD for the MONEYVAL grey listing," Košarac added.
He pointed out that, according to the "Troika's" logic, the SNSD is also to blame for the FBiH's failure to establish a register of beneficial owners of legal entities, which is the key reason why MONEYVAL is placing BiH back on its grey list.
"What does the SNSD have to do with the establishment of the register in the FBiH?" Košarac asked, adding that it is easier for Konaković to accuse the SNSD than to admit that the Bosniak coalition is incapable of managing processes, even at levels where the SNSD has no personnel whatsoever.
He said that it would be far better and more useful for them to bring in an excavator to put their own house in order.
"As a good neighbour to the FBiH, Srpska has already called on the competent authorities in the FBiH to establish a register of beneficial owners in the same way it was done in Srpska, as this represents an important mechanism in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing," Košarac concluded.
