BANJA LUKA, JUNE 10 /SRNA/ - While the Federation of BiH and its media are engaged in a staged political persecution of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, before the extraconstitutional Court of BiH, everything in Republika Srpska is functioning properly and all political activities are being carried out regularly, said Petar Jelić, a member of the Republika Srpska National Assembly.
“We know that Republika Srpska and its leader, Milorad Dodik, are a thorn in the side of the FBiH, Bosniak politicians, and the pro-Bosniak media there, but unfortunately for them, I must emphasize that nothing is changing in Srpska. There are no changes, and court rulings based on an imposed law, outside the legal framework and based on a fabricated criminal offense, will not change anything,” Jelić told SRNA, responding to media manipulations and various spins about alleged changes in the leadership of Srpska and the SNSD.
Jelić emphasized that the decisions of the extraconstitutional Court of BiH carry no weight for Republika Srpska, nor does anyone in Srpska pay attention to them.
“Our only goal is to resolve the constitutional and political crisis in BiH, to ensure its normal functioning within the framework of the Dayton Agreement. That solution can only be reached through dialogue among serious, legally elected politicians who genuinely care about the people who deserve to live and work in a normal country, not in a colony under the dictatorship of unnamed foreigners who are willing to do anything for their interests, even to seize our property and our natural resources,” Jelić stressed.
He stated that Republika Srpska and its officials remain consistent in their positions, which include respect for the Dayton Agreement, the preservation of equality between the two entities and the three constituent peoples, and opposition to impositions and the majorization of two peoples by the third.
“If we truly want what’s best for the Dayton BiH, it is high time to stop the attacks and the spread of falsehoods about Republika Srpska and its leadership, and instead turn to dialogue because hatred has never brought anything good to anyone, except to blind those who are consumed by it and fail to see that Republika Srpska is developing and progressing. Its officials are increasingly present abroad, meeting with representatives of many friendly countries to foster and deepen cooperation,” Jelić said.
