JELIĆ: APPELLATE PANEL JUDGES DELIVERING JUDGMENT ON BiH CRISIS - IT WILL EITHER END OR CONTINUE

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 12 /SRNA/ - The judges of the Appellate Panel of the unconstitutional Court of BiH are not merely delivering a judgment today, but are deciding whether BiH will emerge from the constitutional and political crisis created by Christian Schmidt or whether it will continue, MP to the Republika Srpska National Assembly Petar Jelić told SRNA.

Jelić states the entire trial of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, over what he called a fabricated criminal offense, is riddled with inconsistencies and that every legal expert, especially judges, understands that this is a politically rigged process whose ultimate goal is the political elimination of the most important and powerful Serb politician.

"This is further evidenced by the fact that Judge Mirsad Strika requested the reassignment of the case and early retirement, thereby refusing to be an accomplice in a fabricated process in which he would have to rule based on an imposed law discrediting himself, his career, and the legal profession in general," Jelić emphasized.

He says that Judge Sena Uzunović had long shown that law and justice mean little to her, as she coldly agreed to read the first-instance judgment written by Christian Schmidt.

"Now, in the second-instance proceedings before the Appellate Council, Judge Staniša Gluhajić was supposed to preside over President Dodik's case, but he suddenly went on medical leave, confirming once again that there is significant pressure on the judges and that the outcome is already known," Jelić stated.

He says the very process and the fact that a judge is chosen just hours before the trial shows that there are certain manipulations going on, and they are looking for someone who will deliver a judgment against the president.

"I am certain there is no Serb from Republika Srpska who would engage in this shameful endeavor of the unconstitutional Court of BiH. This whole witch hunt is being led by Muslims, headed by Schmidt, the Germans, and the British, initiated by former ambassador Michael Murphy," Jelić emphasized.

In this farcical trial, he says, it is clear that only Bosniak-aligned Serbs, appointed and shaped by the Bosniaks for their own purposes, can participate.

"The process is political just as the court's decision is political and imposed, and has nothing to do with law or justice," Jelić concluded.
