BELGRADE, APRIL 4 /SRNA/ - The head of the Association of Serbs from the region, Miodrag Linta, says the realization of the unreasonable and insane call by SDA deputy to the Republika Srpska Council of Peoples Dževad Mahmutović to "shoot at the police of Republika Srpska" would have unforeseeable consequences for peace and stability in BiH, and called on the international community to condemn this act of undisguised hatred.
"Such statements certainly radicalize and raise tensions. Absolutely everyone should strongly condemn them, especially international community representatives.
The least we all need is an incident that would lead to further radicalization of the situation in BiH," Linta told SRNA.
He assessed that it is unbelievable that none of the authorities reacts to such a statement given by the deputy in the Council of Peoples of Srpska.
Linta emphasized that the anti-Serb campaign and anti-Serb behavior has been going on continuously for decades producing increasing violence, which was also demonstrated by the recent attack on Novi Sad high school students in Sarajevo.
"I believe it would be good if someone made a detailed and comprehensive report on hate speech and violence, extremist behavior towards Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia on a semi-annual or annual basis. Let's translate it into foreign languages and send it to 100 addresses," said Linta.
He believes that the report should be sent to all important addresses through the Public Diplomacy Department of Serbia, including members of the European Parliament.
"Out of 705 MPs, I guarantee that at least 15 to 20 percent will react. Everything is verifiable and accurate. There is so much hate speech, violence, violations of the human rights of Serbs that it must be put on the paper and documented," said Linta.
