GUTIĆ-BJELICA: BOSNIAK ATTEMPTS TO PRESENT "MONOGRAPH" AS POSITION OF ALL MUST BE CHALLENGED

BUDAPEST, SEPTEMBER 25 /SRNA/ - BiH Ambassador to Hungary Biljana Gutić-Bjelica told SRNA that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers must not be an extension of Bosniak politics, and that the Bosniak side's intention to present the "monograph" on diplomacy in BiH as the position of all peoples in BiH must be challenged, as it is not.

She said that the period from 1992 to 2022 covered by the document is unacceptable to Republika Srpska and all its representatives in the joint institutions.

"First of all, it is highly questionable who worked on this document, who claims ownership of it, whether institutionally or privately? Who was involved in drafting these documents, and who provided contributions for their preparation?" she said.

She pointed out that from the beginning of the war until the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, there was no common foreign policy, at least not one that took into account the position of the Serb people.

"If the position of the Serb people had been taken into account, there would have been no war in the first place," Gutić-Bjelica noted.

She said that even after the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, it was questionable to what extent Dayton-based voting and decision-making were respected, and to what extent all three peoples and their positions, as well as the two entities, were taken into account.

"All of us who have spent decades in the joint institutions have witnessed attempts to impose one truth on behalf of everyone, one vision, one position on BiH, and we resisted those attempts," Gutić-Bjelica stressed.

She expressed her belief that the Bosniak side would attempt to present this document as the position of all peoples in BiH.

"It is up to us to challenge it and prevent their intention from succeeding," Gutić-Bjelica stressed.

She said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not, and must not be, an extension of Bosniak politics, adding that this has been the case almost every time the ministry has been headed by a minister from the Bosniak people.
