SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 5 /SRNA/ – Zdenko Ćosić, a delegate of the Croat Caucus in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, told SRNA that because of Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers Zukan Helez, his statements, and others similar to him, an increasing number of Croats no longer wish to live in BiH.
Reacting to Helez’s remarks in which he called Member of the European Parliament Željana Zovko and senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation Max Primorac "Ustasha bastards," "steeped in fascism," and accused them of using "lies and Islamophobia" to "open discussions about redrawing BiH" and "advance aggressive and fascist ideas," Ćosić said that public figures resort to such insults, vulgarities, and political outbursts only when they lack arguments.
"I thought we would never again hear such things in the public space of BiH," said Ćosić, who also serves on the Joint Committee on Defense and Security of both chambers of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
Ćosić emphasized that the kind of language Helez uses can no longer be heard even in village taverns.
