GOGANOVIĆ: IF THE EU WANTS GENUINE PARTNERSHIP WITH BiH, IT MUST TALK WITH PRESIDENT DODIK

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 8 /SRNA/ - Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović told SRNA that the SNSD was the clear winner of the elections in Republika Srpska and that the will of the voters must be respected.

"The message is clear to our partners in the EU as well – if they want a genuine partnership with BiH, they must also talk with President Milorad Dodik, who leads by far the strongest political party in Republika Srpska. There can be no serious agreement in BiH without Republika Srpska," Goganović said.

He stressed that Republika Srpska has significant international contacts both in the East and the West, while, as he put it, "political Sarajevo is still in a fog following the elections."

"Next week, I will be on an official visit to Brussels and will clearly convey the message to my interlocutors that there can be no serious political agreement without talks with President Dodik and respect for the electoral will of the citizens of Republika Srpska," Goganović said.
