GOGANOVIĆ AT RECEPTION AT U.S. EMBASSY: THE SERBIAN PEOPLE BECOMING AMERICA'S MOST IMPORTANT ALLY IN THE BALKANS

SARAJEVO, JULY 2 /SRNA/ - Deputy Defense Minister in the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović and the Chief of Joint Staff of the BiH Armed Forces Lt.-General Gojko Knežević attended today a reception at the US Embassy in Sarajevo, held on the occasion of the US Independence Day.

Goganović emphasized that in the new geopolitical context, the Serbian people are emerging as a key partner and the most important ally of the United States in the region.

"The new American administration has a good understanding of the political strength and influence of the Serbian people in the Balkans and recognizes their crucial importance for regional stability and security. More than ever, the Serbian factor in the region is becoming the most trusted partner of the United States in this part of Europe, and we, the political representatives from Republika Srpska, are ready to fulfill that role with full responsibility," Goganović emphasized.

The highest officials of the US Embassy, the international community, and the leading political and military representatives of BiH attended the reception.

This traditional reception is yet another confirmation of a strong strategic partnership, with a particular emphasis on further military cooperation and political stability in the region.
