GALIJAŠEVIĆ: IZETBEGOVIĆ ADDRESSED RELIGIOUS FANATICS IN BiH; THREAT SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, JUNE 26 /SRNA/ - Bakir Izetbegović’s statement that SNSD leader Milorad Dodik should be dealt with by force was not directed at the judiciary or the international community, but at every religious fanatic in BiH, and should therefore be investigated by the security agencies, counterterrorism expert Dževad Galijašević told SRNA.

He said that the statement was a message to organized and unorganized Islamists, as well as to all sympathizers and followers of the legacy of Alija Izetbegović, that Dodik is a problem that should be resolved by force.

"Bakir Izetbegović was addressing all of them, because they listen to what he says and are willing to carry out his instructions," Galijašević said, adding that the statement directly endangered Dodik's security and destabilized BiH.

According to Galijašević, assessments in Sarajevo are that the main obstacle to continuing to "strangle" Republika Srpska is precisely Dodik.

"Republika Srpska has been strangled politically by the British and the Germans, acting through political Sarajevo, specifically the SDA and SDP," Galijašević said.

He assessed that Izetbegović's threat was motivated by the severe political setbacks suffered by Muslim politics in BiH on the international stage, as well as by Republika Srpska’s cooperation with the United States and Israel.

"That is precisely why Izetbegović's threats carried an antisemitic undertone and narrative. Bakir hates Israel and believes Dodik should be removed because he is cooperating with the Israeli government," Galijašević said.

He added that the SDA and Izetbegović, as well as their mentors in the Muslim Brotherhood, cannot imagine politics or statehood without the use of violence and terror.

"That is why this threat should be taken seriously," Galijašević said.

Several days ago, during an appearance on the Federation Television /FTV/, SDA President Bakir Izetbegović said that Dodik "must be dealt with by some kind of force".
