SARAJEVO, JUNE 29 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac expressed his full support for the decision of the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, to declare the decision on the appointment of members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments destructive to the vital national interest of Republika Srpska and to seek protection from the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
"The fact that the two Bosniak members of the Presidency of BiH once again outvoted the Serb member only confirms that the political establishment in Sarajevo still believes that BiH can be built under the tutelage of foreigners, rather than through agreement among its democratically elected domestic representatives," Košarac said.
He asked how much longer Bosniak political leaders would continue to support colonialism in BiH.
"When will they show enough political maturity to stop relying on the tutelage of foreigners and assume full responsibility for the processes in BiH? Unlike such an approach, Republika Srpska pursues an independent and sovereign policy," Košarac wrote on Instagram.
He firmly believes decisions concerning the future of the country should be made by the people's elected representatives, not by foreigners.
The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, said that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will have the final say on the decision to appoint members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments, which she today declared destructive to the vital national interest of Republika Srpska after it was adopted at a Presidency session without a quorum.
Cvijanović said that the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Denis Bećirović, who proposed the decision, acted unlawfully and that constitutional and procedural rules were violated on several occasions during the Presidency session.
