FINANCING OF ELMEDIN KONAKOVIĆ'S POLITICAL PARTY UNDER INVESTIGATION

SARAJEVO, JULY 15 /SRNA/ – The BiH State Investigation and Protection Agency /SIPA/ is investigating the financing of the political party People and Justice /Narod i Pravda/, headed by Elmedin Konaković, SIPA confirmed to SRNA.

SIPA states it is acting on the order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

"The request concerns certain checks. At this stage we cannot provide more information," SIPA said.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office instructed SIPA to check the financing of the People and Justice party as part of the investigation in the case known as "Black Tie," amid suspicions, according to Avaz, that the party may have been funded with money from a drug cartel.
