BANJA LUKA, APRIL 21 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik has stated today that the electoral process in BiH has been usurped.

Dodik explained that political parties have not been allowed to agree on the conditions for elections, but that conditions are being imposed externally instead.

He warned that there are concerns that the introduction of new technologies into the electoral process in BiH could be used for manipulation by foreign and other actors.

He also pointed out that a company from Banja Luka did not receive the contract for the introduction of new technologies, which, according to him, further strengthens suspicions that the process is speculative.

"The Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH was formed outside the Constitution and democratic standards. It has become an executive body, which does not exist anywhere else, and it is directed against SNSD", Dodik said at a press conference after the meeting with HDZ BiH leader Dragan Čović.

Čović reminded that in 2022 it was agreed at the BiH level that the existing CEC, which he said was unlawfully and unconstitutionally formed, should be dissolved.

"Unfortunately, we did not implement that. I regret everything that is happening, and it cannot be expected from the current composition of the CEC to work transparently and in accordance with the law when it was formed contrary to it", Čović said.
