BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 9 /SRNA/ - Socialist Party /SP/ Leader Petar Đokić said that Elmedin Konaković's actions are political adventurism that is harmful to relations among the peoples and countries of the region.
Đokić said that Konaković's latest statements regarding the expulsion of Serbian diplomats from Sarajevo once again demonstrate his political immaturity and incompetence.
"Instead of working to build relations and stability, he is dealing with empty and harmful ideas that carry no weight or effect, other than deepening the crisis and undermining the reputation of the institution he represents," Đokić told SRNA.
He stressed that during his term as Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, Konaković had done nothing concrete.
"He has introduced no reforms, offered no solutions, and will be remembered solely for scandals and incoherent statements," Đokić said.
He said that Republika Srpska would not accept such senseless moves.
"We will continue to defend our sovereignty and our relations with Serbia, because they are the foundation of the stability and future of our people," Đokić said.
He added that Konaković's empty and dangerous ideas would not deter Republika Srpska from defending its institutions and relations with Serbia.
Konaković announced yesterday that he had decided to declare Serbian Embassy military attaché Milan Dulanović and Danko Maksimović, an adviser to the representative of the Security-Information Agency at the Serbian Embassy, persona non grata, giving them 48 hours to leave BiH.
