BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 24 /SRNA/ – The incomplete Constitutional Court of BiH’s decision declaring the previous composition of the Republika Srpska Government unconstitutional represents yet another example of legal violence and a political confrontation carried out through institutions that should be impartial, said Socialist Party Leader Petar Đokić.
"As I have emphasized before, such conduct confirms the popular saying: The judge who sues you also judges you. This clearly shows that Republika Srpska National Assembly’s decisions are being challenged not on the basis of law, but on the basis of political interests," Đokić said.
He added that through institutional action, Republika Srpska prevented a repeated attack on stability and an attempt to undermine the government.
"Through our actiities, we have proven that the will of the people cannot be shaken and that the Republika Srpska institutions remain firm and unwavering," Đokić stressed.
He concluded that the decision of the Constitutional Court will not change the fact that Republika Srpska has demonstrated strength and determination to defend its competences.
The incomplete Constitutional Court yesterday issued a decision declaring the previous composition of the Republika Srpska Government “unconstitutional.”
