SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 3 /SRNA/ – FBiH-based political analysts have recognised the diplomatic success of the Serb BiH Presidency member, Željka Cvijanović, in Washington, while at the same time criticizing political structures in Sarajevo for inactivity and a lack of international influence, as well as for the total collapse of the narrative about the isolation of the SNSD and its leader, Milorad Dodik.
"Leaders in Sarajevo, who can barely manage to leave the city centre, let alone the country, to advocate for their country’s interests, should be ashamed of themselves. This includes the entire current government, the Troika, as well as the entire opposition," assessed political analyst Jasmin Mujanović.
Mujanović also emphasized that BiH institutions have failed to secure high-level contacts in the United States.
"They could have, but they literally decided not to," Mujanović said, commenting on the meeting between the Serb BiH Presidency member, Željka Cvijanović, and Howard Lutnick, the U.S. Commerce Secretary in the President Donald Trump administration.
He posted on social media that within the BiH Presidency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, the Parliamentary Assembly, or any other level of government, there has not been a single person over the past two decades who managed to secure a meeting in Washington with an official of that rank.
Mujanović has noted that this is the result of lobbying and that this is clearly how the real world functions.
"Every state and every government in the world does this - in Washington, Brussels, London, Berlin, Riyadh, Timbuktu, Apia…," Mujanović pointed out.
Speaking about the political establishment in Sarajevo, Mujanović said that they "just stare at the sky wondering where the sun goes at night, believing that some miraculous solution will appear and hand them a state."
Political analyst Reuf Bajrović, following the meeting between Cvijanović and Lutnick in Washington, assessed that it represents a "total collapse of the idiotic narrative of the Troika-fellows about how they isolated the SNSD and Dodik."
Bajrović believes that Cvijanović had one of the most important meetings of her career.
"If the Troika-fellows had even a gram of decency, they would all submit resignations and issue a deep apology to the public for all the lies and deceptions," Bajrović emphasized.
After her meetings with Lutnick, the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, expressed satisfaction with the growing interest of American companies in investing in Republika Srpska and the FBiH.
Cvijanović has stressed that this is the result of a positive shift by the administration of President Trump toward the economy, cooperation, and shared prosperity with other countries.
During the second meeting with Secretary Lutnick within the past year, the interlocutors discussed the possibility of further strengthening economic cooperation in mutual interest, announced the office of the Serb member of the BiH Presidency.
