CVIJANOVIĆ: USEFUL EXCHANGE OF OPINIONS IN ANTALYA ABOUT DEVELOPMENTS IN BiH

ANTALYA, APRIL 11 /SRNA/ - The Serb member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović emphasized the importance of today's event in Antalya, where she is participating in the Diplomatic Forum, and that it was useful to exchange opinions on developments in BiH and the region with interlocutors on the sidelines of the event.

Cvijanović said that she met with the President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, whose country is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.

"That meeting was interesting because it involved a country that is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, and we are slowly approaching the debate on BiH, which is scheduled for early May in the Security Council," said Cvijanović.

She added that she also had brief encounters on the sidelines of the forum in Antalya with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán, the Prime Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Serbia's acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić.

"It was good and useful to exchange views on what is happening in BiH and the region, but also to hear certain observations related to the broader global picture," Cvijanović told RTRS.

The Diplomatic Forum began today in Antalya, bringing together more than 4,800 participants from over 140 countries, including 19 heads of state and 64 ministers, among them 52 foreign ministers.

The Forum is being held under the auspices of Turkish President Erdoğan, with the theme "The Return of Diplomacy in a Fragmented World".
