ABU DHABI, APRIL 22 /SRNA/ - Today in Abu Dhabi, Serb Member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović spoke with the president of the International Criminal Police Organisation INTERPOL, General Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, about further improving cooperation with this most important international police organisation in the fight against transnational crime and strengthening regional security.
Security challenges in the region and the world were also discussed at the meeting, announced the Office of the Serb member and chairwoman of the BiH Presidency.
During the meeting, Serb Member and Chairwoman Cvijanović pointed out that Republika Srpska and BiH are a reliable partner in the fight against all types of crime, which, she emphasized, was recognized by numerous bilateral and multilateral stakeholders.
The president of Interpol thanked for the contribution that police agencies in BiH provide to INTERPOL, such as participation in the global operation against migrant smuggling and human trafficking "Liberterra II," and emphasized the importance of being present at the headquarters of the Organisation in Lyon through the secondment of police officers in the future.
The meeting was held as part of a one-day working visit of the Serb member and Chairwoman of the Presidency to the United Arab Emirates.
