CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS ARE NOT DEFINED BY THE CONSTITUTION

SARAJEVO, JULY 27 /SRNA/ - Culture is not listed as a responsibility of BiH in the BiH Constitution, which is why they are referred to as the so-called cultural institutions, explained Serb member of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Radovan Kovačević.

When asked by a journalist whether he had visited any institution of that kind in BiH, Kovačević replied that he would not allow anyone to lecture him on the matter.

"We care deeply about the culture of our own people as well as that of other peoples, and I believe that culture is very important. We certainly place great importance on culture," Kovačević stressed.

He noted that culture falls under the jurisdiction of the entities.
