BANJA LUKA, JULY 5 /SRNA/ – DEMOS leader, Nedeljko Čubrilović, told SRNA that it is good for Republika Srpska that the Court of BiH revoked the detention measure for President Milorad Dodik, thereby also cancelling the arrest warrant, and he believes that the same should be done for other Republika Srpska officials.
"This does not prejudge anything; it is merely the conclusion of one phase of the process," Čubrilović said.
He adds such situations are always, unfortunately, a cause for disappointment for some and joy for others - in this case, for Republika Srpska.
The Court of BiH yesterday issued a decision accepting the BiH Prosecutor’s Office’s proposal to revoke the detention measure for Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, thus also cancelling the arrest warrant that had been issued against him.
Detention was lifted because it was determined that the reasons for the earlier decision no longer existed.
Earlier, the Court of BiH had imposed a one-month detention on Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik on reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of "attack on the constitutional order."
