CHINESE MEDIA CENTRE BRINGS TOGETHER MODERN TECHNOLOGY AND JOURNALISM

BEIJING, SEPTEMBER 10 /SRNA/ – A media centre in Beijing combines modern journalism, digital technologies and automation, with robots capable of delivering water, preparing coffee and making ice cream among the most interesting examples of technological progress.

Participants in a journalism programme in China, which offers them an opportunity to learn about the Chinese media system, culture and society through lectures, workshops and visits to media organisations, visited the China Media Centre, where they were introduced to its operations and the modern technologies used in the production and distribution of media content.

Technology at the Centre is presented not only through modern journalistic equipment, cameras and digital systems, but also through practical solutions based on robotics and artificial intelligence.

One of the robots moves independently and can deliver bottled water, while robotic solutions for preparing coffee and ice cream were also demonstrated. This allows the entire process to be carried out with minimal human intervention, showing how robotics is becoming part of everyday services.

Particular attention is drawn to the robotic ice-cream preparation system, in which a robotic arm performs a series of precise tasks required to prepare and serve the dessert. A similar principle is applied to the robotic coffee machine, which independently prepares the beverage.

Modern technology is also evident in the way the media operates, as journalists at the press centre have access to professional television cameras, computers, workstations and other equipment that enables the rapid collection, processing and distribution of information.

In this way, the Chinese Media Centre brings together modern journalism, digital technologies and automation in one place, providing a practical illustration of how technological development is transforming both the media industry and everyday life.

The Centre is also Beijing's development projects, including new urban areas, the renovation of public spaces, the development of areas along the Grand Canal and the preservation of cultural heritage, with an emphasis on linking modern urban development with culture, ecology and tourism.

In addition to the professional aspects, programme participants had the opportunity to explore numerous entertaining and interactive attractions available at the venue, making the visit a combination of learning about media operations, modern technology and content intended for the general public.
