CARGO TRAFFIC BLOCKADES SUSPENDED AT BORDER CROSSINGS

SARAJEVO, JANUARY 30 /SRNA/ – Transport operators from BiH suspended blockades of freight traffic at border crossings today, Marko Ivanović, one of the coordinators of the "Logistics BiH" Consortium, told SRNA.

According to him, the decision was made after guarantees were received from Brussels that the 90/180-day rule on stays in the European Union /EU/ would not be applied to drivers.

"We also received guarantees from the entities' governments that our demands will be met," Ivanović added.

Earlier, transport operators from Serbia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia also decided to end the blockades. Together with carriers from BiH, they had halted freight transport at EU border crossings since Monday.
