SARAJEVO, APRIL 9 /SRNA/ – Council of Ministers Deputy Chair Staša Košarac assesses that the harmonization of Bosniak parties' positions on property issue with the message that "BiH is exclusively property owner and that any other solutions are unacceptable," is partly a populist mantra intended to distract their own electorate.
The other part, he warns, the much more dangerous aspect of the false narrative about "BiH property" lies in their constant aspiration to strip Republika Srpska of its powers and dismantle it.
"Positions on property issue are not harmonized because this matter was unequivocally resolved by the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Geneva and New York principles," Košarac stressed.
He stated that Bosniak parties may harmonize their positions on the issues of stray dogs, the appearance of rats and cockroaches in Sarajevo, the return of humans to the Moon, and all political and social issues in the FBiH.
Košarac recalled that property belongs to Republika Srpska and the FBiH, while BiH itself has no property.
"Republika Srpska entered the Dayton-based BiH with its territory, while the property is one of the key constitutive elements of the Republika Srpska statehood. The inviolable property of Srpska is 49 percent, which is the clearest red line," Košarac emphasized.
According to him, property cannot be a matter for consideration by the incomplete Constitutional Court, nor can Republika Srpska’s property be taken away through its unconstitutional decisions.
"Property cannot be a subject of discussion in the OHR under the baton of the troublemaker /Christian/ Schmidt, nor can it be a matter of coordination among Bosniak political parties. There will be no law on property at the level of BiH," Košarac posted on Instagram.
