SARAJEVO, APRIL 8 /SRNA/ - Today in Sarajevo, Serb member and Chairperson of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović received a letter of credence from the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to BiH, based in Vienna, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, assessing bilateral relations as friendly and without open issues, with room for improvement of cooperation.
It was particularly underlined that there is room for improving cooperation in the trade, economic and investment sectors.
Cvijanović expressed warm welcome to the ambassador of Uzbekistan, with whom she discussed the current political situation in both countries and on the global level, as well as further improvement of bilateral relations, the BiH Presidency announced.
The meeting discussed the current National Strategy "Uzbekistan-2030", which promotes economic diplomacy with the aim of attracting more direct foreign investments and technologies for the implementation of joint projects in several areas.
During the meeting, it was said that there is a possibility of cooperation in these areas as well, especially for potential investors and companies in BiH.
The mutual interest in intensifying bilateral contacts and organizing mutual visits at the highest level was expressed.
Serb member and chairperson of the BiH Presidency wished the newly appointed ambassador of Uzbekistan a successful diplomatic mission.
