ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, APRIL 13 /SRNA/ – The President of the Republika Srpska Association of Women War Victims Božica Živković Rajilić told SRNA that by acquitting perpetrators, the Court of BiH justifies crimes against Serbs and, through its rulings, insults the entire Serb people.
Following the decision of the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH to overturn the first-instance verdict against former commander of the 43rd Drina Brigade of the so-called Army of BiH, Ramiz Duraković, for crimes against Serb civilians in the Čajniče area, Rajilić said this showed the court does not act in accordance with the law.
“Serbs were killed, and he /Duraković/ is acquitted. Do these people have any conscience?” Rajilić said.
She emphasized that it is no surprise that no one in Republika Srpska is satisfied with the rulings of the Court of BiH.
The Appellate Division of the Court of BiH overturned the first-instance verdict sentencing former commander of the 43rd Drina Brigade of the so-called Army of BiH, Ramiz Duraković, to three and a half years in prison for crimes against Serb civilians committed in 1993 in the Čajniče area.
