APPEAL BY DODIK'S DEFENSE REJECTED

SARAJEVO, August 18 /SRNA/ - The Appellate Division of the unconstitutional Court of BiH today rejected the appeal filed by the legal team of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik against the decision of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH to revoke his mandate.

"The Appellate Division of the Court of BiH, within the legal deadline, issued and delivered a ruling rejecting as unfounded the appeal filed against the CEC BiH decision of August 6, which established the termination of the mandate of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik," the court stated.

The CEC BiH, at its session on August 6, adopted the decision to terminate Dodik's mandate due to non-compliance with the orders of illegitimate Christian Schmidt.

On August 12, Goran Bubić, attorney for Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, submitted an appeal to the Court of BiH against the CEC decision on behalf of the legal team, as his authorized representative.

Bubić emphasized at the time that in this case criminal law, and consequently the CEC decision, are being used as instruments of political pressure.

"Voters are not sheep, the truth lies in the ballot box, and therefore actions that nullify the will of the citizens and fail to support the rule of law must be challenged with every available legal remedy," Bubić stated.
