AMIDŽIĆ: NO REASON FOR MONEYVAL GREY LISTING

BANJA LUKA, MAY 6 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Finance and Treasury in the BiH Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić has stated today in Banja Luka that there are no grounds for BiH to be placed on the Moneyval grey list, as the Law on the Restriction of Disposal of Property aimed at preventing terrorism, the financing of terrorism, and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction has been adopted.

"The law has been adopted, but in political terms colleagues from the Federation of BiH always try to impose certain things in order to have, in their view, more BiH. Such actions are not in accordance with the Constitution," Amidžić said at a press conference.

He reminded that being on the Moneyval grey list means increased costs in the banking system.

The House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly on Monday, May 4, adopted the Law on the Restriction of Disposal of Property aimed at preventing terrorism, the financing of terrorism, and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, the goal of which is to establish a complete mechanism for the implementation of sanctioning measures.
