SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 7 /SRNA/ - Amendments to the Rulebook on Internal Organization of the Indirect Taxation Authority /ITA/ have resolved staffing issues at 10 border crossings, the Office of the Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers said.
The rulebook had failed to win approval several times because of a lack of consensus, but was unanimously endorsed today at an electronic session of the Governing Board.
The Governing Board had earlier received a request from the ITA to amend staffing arrangements on the basis of an international agreement between BiH and Croatia, in force since June, in order to organise work at border crossings more efficiently.
The amendments to the rulebook, adopted unanimously today, also resolved the status of the new border crossing in Gradiška.
The changes were backed by Republika Srpska Finance Minister Zora Vidović, FBiH Finance Minister Toni Kraljević, Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić and Jelena Popović, a Governing Board expert member appointed by the Republika Srpska Government.
