BRČKO, JANUARY 10 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister, Savo Minić, sent messages of peace and tolerance from the Republic Day celebration in Brčko, emphasizing that Srpska today is defended through development and by creating a good quality of life for all its citizens.
"Grand obligations lie ahead of us. We must continue to develop Republika Srpska. It is not in question, nor will we ever allow it to be in question. Citizens expressed their will in a referendum regarding the birthday of Republika Srpska, and that is absolutely unquestionable, therefore we will not discuss it," Minić told the press ahead of the ceremonial gathering.
He added that Republic Day has been celebrated in a festive atmosphere for several days and that the celebrations will continue in Europe and neighbouring countries, which has been a tradition for more than 30 years.
"Republika Srpska was created in peace, it has its birthday, so we cannot and will never give that up, nor do we wish to justify ourselves to anyone," the prime minister emphasized.
Minić said that no hostile or offensive messages are being sent from Republika Srpska, but that they are ready to respond to any insult directed at Srpska.
"We defended Republika Srpska, and now we are building economic stability, peace, and development within it. That is how Srpska is defended today," the prime minister stressed.
Minić said that anniversaries are a time to sum up progress to date, assessing that everything seen over the past days from Trebinje to Brčko today proves that Republika Srpska is certainly on the right path and is providing its citizens with solid social and healthcare protection, road infrastructure, and much more.
